About the event
Join the NL Living Lab team for a peer learning event at the living lab sites in Cormack, how the cover crops are being implemented for nitrogen use efficiency and more. The team from the Department of Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture along with Grenfell Campus be available discussing technology. This event will be a tour of the NL Living Lab (NL-LL) core research sites in the Western area. This will be a networking opportunity to share peer knowledge, updates on what is happening around cover crops and the development of beneficial management practices of NL-LL.
- Site 1 - Rideouts Farm, learn about cover crops in potato production.
- Site 2 - Larch Grove Farm, learn about cover crops in forage rotation.
A bbq will happen on-site at Larch Grove Farm at 405 Veteran's Drive, Cormack, NL.
Directions and signage to sites will be available.
Prior to the Lunch and Learn, there will be a demo at Wrights Family Farm with Rosalie Madden-Gillis of the On Farm Climate Action Fund from 9am - 10:30am.
